Katey Maddux, Owner
Growing up in a family of accountants and entrepreneurs, Katey never imagined that she would be either-- let alone both. However, like many Millennials, she decided corporate life wasn't for her; she wanted to make a difference, be part of something bigger, work in the cloud, on her own terms...
And so was born Millennial Accounting. Katey spent the first 18 years of her life key-punching and doing bank reconciliations for her mom's accounting firm, and her first job was working for the family CPA. She later moved to Texas and received a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University. Her first career was in management, followed by work as a buyer for a corporate enterprise retailer. She started Millennial Accounting after becoming a Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor, and later became a Certified TsheetsPRO.
Outside of growing her business, Katey's hobbies include traveling, volunteering, paddle boarding, yoga and teaching Zumba.
